Scott | Kroner, PLC, traces its beginnings to April 1951 when C. Armonde Paxson, who had been in practice in Charlottesville since his graduation from law school in 1930, formed the firm of Paxson, Marshall & Smith with David B. Marshall and William Massie Smith. The firm has since evolved and expanded to include a growing and diverse client base. Now named Scott | Kroner, PLC, in recognition of principal members W. Stephen Scott (retired 2014) and Robert J. Kroner (retired 2022), our firm is regularly recognized as one of the premier firms in the region.
