Meet Melissa

Melissa joined our Firm in March of 2022. Her practice includes representing clients in the areas of estate planning, special needs planning, trust administration, estate administration, and guardianship and conservatorship.

Melissa grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, and began her legal career representing healthcare providers across the country in disputes with health insurance companies.  In 2007, she relocated to Central Virginia and spent 14 years in various compliance, in-house counsel, and investigations roles at two large financial institutions. 

In between banking roles, Melissa worked at a boutique estate planning firm in Richmond, Virginia and found a passion for estate planning. As the child of a blended family, she particularly enjoys crafting estate plans which accommodate complicated and unique family situations. As the aunt of a young adult with a disability, Melissa also understands the challenges of caring for a special needs family member and the importance of planning for their future.
