Scott Kroner PLC represents borrowers and lenders, including individuals, businesses, banks and other institutions, in negotiating and preparing commercial loan agreements. Our firm also represents clients in the acquisition and formation of banking institutions.

Bankruptcy, Debtors' and Creditors' Rights

We represent debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and business reorganization proceedings.  Our clients include a number of local, regional and national institutions, including businesses, credit unions, banks and state government agencies, which we represent in the collection of delinquent commercial and retail accounts.

Estate Planning and Administration

Our estate planning attorneys advise clients regarding wills, powers of attorney and trust agreements, prepare these instruments for execution and assist in administering estate plans through probate proceedings and preparation of inventories, accounting and all necessary tax returns.

We advise businesses in all aspects of the employer and employee relationship.  We assist our clients in complying with all state and federal laws relating to employment matters.  We work with our clients in preparation of employment agreements and covenants not to compete, and in defense of workers' compensation and employment discrimination cases.

Our attorneys regularly conduct civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.  They practice before all state and federal trial courts throughout Virginia, and before the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Virginia Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
