Neal L. Walters

Mr. Walters maintains a general civil practice, handling transactional matters such as residential real estate closings and wills and collections, as well as litigation in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth.  Mr. Walters has a particular interest in appellate matters, having represented litigants in over 90 cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  In addition to his private practice, Mr. Walters is a lecturer at the University of Virginia School of Law where he teaches Federal Appellate Litigation and is the Supervising Attorney in charge of the Appellate Litigation Clinic. Mr. Walters has a family member with a disability and consults with clients regarding special needs trusts and other disability related matters and has represented plaintiffs in litigation seeking to expand access to services for persons with disabilities.
